About the Not Your Average Joe Race

For 23 years Human Kinetics has organized the Not Your Average Joe race, formerly known as the Twin Cities Twosome. The name celebrates the life of Joe Seeley, a former Human Kinetics employee who died of leukemia in 2012. Seeley devoted considerable time and energy to the annual charity race and to the Champaign-Urbana running community. In 2013, Human Kinetics was able to contribute $12,000 to the three benefitting charities: Courage Connection, Crisis Nursery, and the T.I.M.E.S. Center. Over its 23-year history, the race has raised nearly $136,000.
